9th – Start Act II of Romeo and Juliet. I will be checking to see if everyone has completed the reading guide for Act I tomorrow during Choice read time. Keeping up with the vocabulary and the scene questions helps keep the plot and characters straight prior to the final. The entire reading guide will be collected on the day of the final. Students should be working on learning lines and creating the scene to be performed at the end of the unit. The summative SAT vocabulary assessment will be moved from April 12th to April 19th.
Performances will take place one week after we finish studying the play.
S+- We will be working toward the end of the play and toward the presentation of one act of the play by small groups. Students will have class time to co-ordinate how to present the act and rehearse. Lesson 17 is due Friday.
